Designed and sculpted by David Annand, the memorial a rough hewn corennie granite stone of remembrance surmounted by a bronze deer antlers, and a bronze dedication plaque, with 2 smaller factual bronze plaques. Inscription reads: Gordon Highlanders Memorial, erected by Huntly Community Council from Public Subscriptions Worldwide to commemorate the North Easts own Regiment 1794 - 1994. unveiled by Angus Farquharson OBE Lord Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire, on 24 June 2000.
