Huntly Citizen of the Year Nominations Now Open

By Rotary Club of Huntly on 30/09/2022

It is now time for nominations to be made for who will be named as Citizen of the Year by Huntly Rotary Club.

The Club manages the Stuart Jolly award for Service in the Community and is asking people to help them by nominating an unsung hero from the community worthy of the accolade in 2022.

The deadline for nominations to be received is 5pm on Monday, November 7th.

The award seeks to recognise people from in and around the Strathbogie area who quietly go out of their way to make a significant contribution to life in Huntly and the surrounding district.

The person will receive a person keepsake and a cash sum to donate to a Charity of their choice.

Nomination forms can be collected from Rizza’s on Gordon Street or personal letters of nomination will also be accepted, provided they include details of the person making the nomination.

Nominations should be submitted individually, and while Huntly Rotary Club will consider all submissions, it has ultimate discretion on the recipient of the award.
Nominations should be in a sealed envelope, marked Citizen of the Year and can be handed in at Rizza’s in Gordon Street.

Last year’s recipient was Ian Little for his decades of support in Huntly.
