The HuntlyCrafters and Huntly Farmers’ Market are pleased announce details for the Huntly Spring Festival on Coronation Saturday 6 May. With the generous co-operation of the Huntly Community Council, several community entertainment groups have been approached, and will be attending to provide entertainment in The Square.

The HuntlyCrafters Craft Fair will run from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the Stewart’s Hall presenting the handmade art, crafts and gifts of local makers. An extended Huntly Farmers’ Market will be held in The Square from 10am to 3pm, hosting producers of food and drink, local produce plus street food for every taste.

The entertainment will begin with the Huntly and District Pipe Band’s 75th Anniversary Parade marching from the Market Muir to The Square at 11:45am, with another performance later in the day.

Entertainment continues with performances from The Patricia-Ann School of Dance, The Strathbogie Fiddlers, The Brenda Gordon School of Dance and members of the Aurora Music showcasing their upcoming production of The Addams Family – Musical Comedy.

Many local groups will be involved on the day. The Tourism Hub will be available in the Brander Library. Upstairs, library staff will be leading a Coronation themed children’s crown making workshop. Deveron Projects will be at Square Deal. Local charities and groups will have a presence at the Farmers' Market and in the New Room in the Stewart’s Hall with the HuntlyCrafters, including the Friends of Jubilee Hospital in the Main Hall.

A children's window treasure trail will take place in the town from Monday 1 May, whereby children must find Royal or Coronation themed images in local shop windows, and by locating them all can enter a free prize draw.  Entries to be placed in the competition entry box at the Brander Library by 1pm on Saturday 6 May to be in the draw.  Entry forms available from participating shops in the town centre.
